People annoy me........
Yet at the same time, I don't feel right unless I'm around them.
What's up with this? Some type of vicious cycle that I'm destined to be stuck in?
Things are going well I suppose. I made a B on my last Organic Exam, looks like I'll be pulling a B in Organic one at the end of the semester. Genetics has been a push over thus far; Dr. Ng is almost never in class--apparently he has significant enough grants to just drop class and go to china for a week. He's done this twice. Both times on the weeks that we have a test. Also, we've received the same lecture of DNA replication THREE TIMES in the class.. but guess what wasn't on the last exam except for 2 questions!
Genetics and Organic Labs have been the classes I've been loving the most this semester. I feel really good getting out of lab 30 minutes earlier than anyone else, with more product, and higher purity levels. I really enjoy the hands on stuff. I understand it. It understands me I think. People seem to be so narrow minded some times, and stare blindly at a situation when they need to take initiative.. take risks... and go for it! Why can't most people think for themselves instead of following the lab manual religiously. So what if it says "wash with toluene" and doesn't give the volume nor the times nor how? Come on, people!
Yeah... So I'm actually trying. And failing miserably I might add. I'm passing by one point. Yes, that's right. I have a 70 in Calculus A. I suspect it's a problem with my learning style and the teacher's teaching style combined. That, or I'm just a fucking retard. At least I didn't fail my last test. Why didn't I take the bottom line math that I needed rather than taking something else I didn't need? Why didn't I take this class Pass/Fail? Bah.. disgusting!
I really enjoy my job. Though, I didn't hold classes Monday and Tuesday of last week since the students had a test--and I got to skip the class lecture on that Monday. That's like...4 more hours of free time! and WOW did I notice it!!! But now I have the money to buy the binocular microscope I've been wanting for the last 3 years... I think I'm going to go ahead and get it soon. It'll be pretty darn awesome!!
My schedule is worked out for next semester. Stallsmith has me down to work on the new-fangled Stippled Studfish project, they're a species of fish that are really closely related to a fish I really like--the Northern Studfish. I'll be doing 3 research hours, taking Vertebrate Zoology (a 5 hour combined Lab/lecture class) along with Organic Chem 2. Once this next semester is over, I'm seriously on a down slope!! I'll be lacking two classes each for my Major and Minor to be done.. Just to get those BS requirements out of the way!! That's really encouraging!
Well... Life goes on.
I apologize for not posting before this.. but this seems like an unfortunate trend of negative delta time.
