Microscopy: the new hobby

As promised, here are some of the pictures I've taken in a most redneck fashion with my microscope...
The reason these aren't the best images ever is because I'm literally holing my camera up to the eyepiece and taking a picture....
The first picture isin't something you'd see from a microscope---no, it's a T-shirt derek put together to honor Dr. Stallsmith... It's making fun of the "Jesus is my Homeboy" shirts you might occasionally see.

Next up, the whole microscope setup... there's a fossil Dr. Garstka gave me in the background...

This was one of the first things I looked at.. It's Chaetomorpha algae from my aquarium.. I was really STUNNED to see the coloration. Do note that none of the following images have been stained.

And Caulerpa racemosa... There are some weird red objects here that I don't know what are. Stallsmith suggested plastids just from my discription, but I'm not so sure...
And another Caulerpa racemosa picture...

Cheers,
Andrew
